Art was the last Pearl Harbor survivor in Butte County, CA. During the Pearl Harbor attack Art was serving as part of the Marine detachment on the USS Pennsylvania BB 38. He later served on amphibious landing craft colloquially known as ducks (DUKW). Art's name is enshrined on the Veterans Wall in Oroville, CA. He is survived by his wife Dolores and family,
