Service Officer - Air Force
I joined the Air Force in July 1966. Completed Basic Training & Tech School in Nov 1966 and my first assignment was Tinker AFB, OK. Worked in Comm. Sq. doing inventory management. Next assignments were Phu Cat AB, Vietnam, McClellan AFB, CA and USAF Recruiting in Sacramento, CA. Moved to Travis AFB Recruiting Sq. in Sept 1978 the on to RAF Uxbridge, UK. Returned to USAF Recruiting July 1980 in Yakima, WA. Spent 6 yrs recruiting n Yakima, WA & upon promotion to Senior NCO in Sept. 1986 moved to Chico, CA as Flight Supervisor for 9 USAF recruiters in the North State. Retired from USAF in March 1990 and immediately became AFJROTC instructor at Lindhurst High School,, Marysville, CA. After 18 years teaching AFJROTC I finally retired in 2008. Married to Mary Alice with 3 grown children.
